Comparing Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch # 60720 to # 60683
Question:
what is the difference between these two kits C60720 and # C60683 ? they both say it will fit my 2012 F250 6 3/4 foot bed

The Curt Double Lock # C60720 and the Curt EZr Double Lock # C60683 are basically the same gooseneck hitch. The difference is in the installation. The EZr gives you the ability to ensure the hole you drill in the bed is perfect without the need to measure. It instead uses the Center locator tool that allows you to drill from the bottom up for a perfect fit. The regular Double Lock system simply requires measuring and then you drill from the top down. If you are good with a tape measure, then you can save some money and use # C60720. If you like a much easier installation, then the EZr # C60683 is the route to go.
I've attached the installation details for each for you to compare. As you stated, both are confirmed to fit your 2012 Ford F-250 with 6-3/4 foot bed. With either option due to your short bed, you may want to consider the Curt 4" Offset Ball for Double-Lock Gooseneck Hitch # C602.
