Installing Trailer Wiring on a 2014 Ford Explorer
Question:
How do I install wiring harness on my 2014 Ford Explorer

Expert Reply:
The trailer wiring harness for your 2014 Ford Explorer is actually quite easy to install. Take a look at the picture I've attached. There are two connectors at the rear on the passenger's side. The wiring harnesses we carry, like part # 118540 for a 4-way and # 118272 for a 7-way, plug in to these two connectors. The picture shows the connectors with the wiring harness already plugged into it. I've also linked videos of both harnessed being installed for you.
Once you have the wiring connected you then need to mount the connector at the rear of your Explorer. We have a no-drill bracket, part # C57202, that you can then use with either part # 18144 or part # PK12711U.
