Replacement Axle for Old Dexter Axle with Electric Brakes
Question:
I need to replace an axle under my cargo trailer. It is a Dexter axle with electric brakes. I want to be reusing all the brake system and only am interested in the axle. How do I order by lingth? what measurements do I use?

To replace a trailer axle, you will want to measure from brake flange to brake flange and center or spring seat to center or other spring seat. Those two measurements will help find the correct fit. I've attached a photo to assist.
If the measurements don't line up with any of our through axle options, I recommend looking at the universal fit Axle-less Suspension systems like # ASR3500S05 that will work on any trailer frame and will replace your suspension as well. It will use the Dexter Hub/Drum and Brake assemblies that are the correct fit for the EZ Lube spindles.
