Recommended Weight Distribution System Drop Shank for 2-1/2 Inch Receivers
Question:
Hi, Just got a RAM 2500 with a 2 1/2 inch hitch receiver. The current Reese system I have is a 2 inch hitch for our trailer. The Dodge Im guessing is also probably about 6 inches higher then my old Chevy... Ill have to get the correct measurements. Question, does Reese or you guys sell a shank that goes from 2 1/2 inich to 2 inch that s about 6 inches or more? Ive attached pic of my current hitch. Thanks

For your Ram 2500 with 2-1/2 inch receiver, the largest drop shank we have for your Reese round bar system is the Equal-i-zer Weight Dist Shank - 2-1/2" Hitch # EQ90-02-4900 which will get you the 6 inches of drop with a round bar system. The Reese Titan Weight Dist Shank # RP54977 is restricted to trunnion bar systems only so it won't work for your application.
The only shank we have to give a round bar system more drop is the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank - 2-1/2" Hitches - 7" Drop/Rise - 21,000 lbs # 325-GH-1302 which also has more perks but at a price.
