Recommendation to Upgrade to Dual Motor Landing Gear System on Trailer
Question:
Looking to do a dual power landing gear setup, Vmc900l-320105 are the numbers on the following leg. Can I just buy a rebuild for a lead leg and install it in a following leg and which rebuild kit will work?

In order to upgrade your existing landing gear system to a dual motor setup, I recommend completely replacing the follower leg with a lead leg # LG-177202. I have attached the dimensions for this lead leg so you can compare them to your existing unit to make sure it will work well as a replacement. It's technically possible to upgrade the follower leg by replacing all of its inner components, but this is extremely involved and it is much safer to simply replace the leg itself.
On a dual motor setup, the two legs will not be attached to each other, so you will also need to add a Gearbox # LG-179015, and Motor # LG-217884.
Since you would be creeping up towards the cost of a brand new, dual-motor system, I recommend considering a entirely new setup with the Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010. These dual electric jacks feature a combined weight capacity of 12,000 pounds with a retracted height of 36 inches and an extended height of 74 inches. The distance from the top of motor to the first weld point is 8-1/2 inches.
