Kuat NV 2.0 Base Compatibility With Draw-Tite Hitch On 2013 Mazda 3 5dr
Question:
Would the combination of Kuat NV 2.0 Base on 2013 Mazda 3 5dr with drawtite class 1 hitch be compatible? What are the clearances from the bumper and rack in the folded position? Are there other clearance issues or tight fits to note? Thank you. If the clearance will not work can you recommend another similar option for rack please.

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24843 is a great product to pair with the Kuat NV 2.0 Base # BA12B. The # 24843 has a maximum tongue weight rating up to 200lbs and the # BA12B weighs 49lbs and has a weight capacity of 60lbs per bike. As a result they are compatible with each other, however confirm with your owner's manual for your vehicle's exact towing rating.
On # 24843, from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outer most edge of the bumper is five inches THE VIDEO YOU LINKED SAYS 5-1/2. From the top of the receiver to the opening to the ground is eleven inches. On the # BA12B the closest part of rack when folded down is 10-1/2" and when folded up 7-7/8". The farthest part of rack when folded down is 33" and when folded up 18-1/2". With that being said, I don't forsee any clearance or weight issues.
