Question:

How much space above the slideout flange is required for the correct height of the awning rail? From the top on my flange to the underside of my gutter on my 2015 FunFinder 189FDS is 2-1/2”. Also, my slideout width measured to outside of flange is 108” 9’.

When installing a Slide-Topper on your trailer, you will just want the awning rail to be a couple inches above the top flange on the slide-out. This is simply to provide a slight downward angle for rain runoff. There shouldn't be any issue with installing the awning frame just beneath the gutter on your FunFinder.

The Solera 9.5' Slider (Slide-Topper) in Black w/ Black Hardware # LCV000168325 will work perfectly for your box width of 108 inches. This slider features an overall width of 114 inches and works well with box widths of 104 to 109-3/4 inches.

I have attached an installation video on this product that you can also take a look at.
