How Much Clearance is Needed for Solera Slide Topper to Fit on RV

Question:

I have a box measurement of 134inch with 3 inch flanges on each side. I have an awning arm that is only 2 and 1/4 inches from flange on one side. Can we make this fit if we adjust. The material width is 139 inches. How far does the rod and end cap go past awning material?

We've checked with Solera before and they've said that 3 inches of clearance is the minimum needed for their Solera slide toppers to fit. If you only have 2-1/4 inches a slide topper like the # LCV000177334, which is the correct size for your flange width dimensions, would not fit. The rod is what sticks out 3 inches beyond the flange which would be what could cause interference.
