When installing the Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 7" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies # AKEBRK-2 you will want to torque them to 30-50 ft lbs. If you don't have a torque wrench, if you tighten the nut until the lock washers flatten out, you will likely be within that range.
