Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver and Towing Components for 2017 Honda Accord Sedan
Question:
i want to put a hitch on my 2017 honda accord sedan. I like the Curt C11681, but it is a class one hitch. And the corresponding Curt receiver adapter C45785, 1-1/4inch to 2inch is a class 2. Do they sell a class 2 hitch for the honda accord sedan 2017? Or do I need the Brophy adapter?

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class I # C11681 is a confirmed fit for your 2017 Honda Accord Sedan and at this time there is not a Class II hitch available. If you will be towing with this hitch, I recommend the ball mount # C45521 and hitch ball # A-80 for a 1-7/8 inch ball or # A-82 for a 2 inch diameter hitch ball. You will also need a pin and clip like # F-4 to secure your ball mount.
For trailer wiring, I recommend the Curt T-Connector # C56299 which will connect to factory wiring located behind the trim panels on each side of your rear cargo area.
If you have 2 inch accessories, you will need the Brophy # HTAD or # HT5R as the Curt # C45785 will not work with a Class I hitch. You will also need the Curt Trailer Hitch Support Strap # 18050 for any accessory like a bike rack or cargo carrier in order not to void the warranty. These hitch adapters will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50%.
