How to Determine if Thule Force Roof Cargo Box Will Allow Vehicle to Open Rear Hatch
Question:
Looking for the biggest cargo box that will fit on my 2017 Kia Sorento with factory rails and crossbars, no sunroof. Comparing Thule Force and Yakima Skybox. Do you know if the Thule XXL or Skybox 21 will fit with enough clearance for rear hatch or do I need to go smaller? By my measurements it will be a very close fit. May also be slight overhang on the winshield. Is this a problem? Thank you!

I can certainly help you pick out the biggest roof cargo box that fits your 2017 Kia Sorento with factory crossbars but I'll need to know the distance from the center of the front crossbar back to the rear hatch seam to do that.
For example the Thule Force Large # TH6357B requires 47-1/2 inches of distance there as a minimum. The XXL # TH626 requires 58-1/8 inches.
