I am happy with my hitch. it was easy to install

by:

Ordered a class 4 over the phone but received this one instead. Guess it was a simple miscommunication because I was torn between this product and a class 4. Great Hitch though, took 15min to remove old and install new with impact. Shipped super quick!

by:

As for the hitch it is top of the line. Far superior to the O.E.M. Install was very easy. I had a helper due to the weight when lining up bolts. Probably a jack positioned correctly would do the job. I did not have to lower the spare, all the bolt holes lined up perfectly. Getting the old hitch off was a job I don't want to ever do again.
Now as for packaging. Why would you put this heavy piece of steel in a cardboard box with no support or cushioning at all. I helped UPS with the box because it was literally falling apart with the hitch hanging out. This was not the fault of UPS but the shipper. The hardware package was taped to the hitch so nothing was lost. The hitch just suffered some loss of paint and a few scratches.

Lined up perfectly to the Silverado. Easy install.

Arrived on time! Shipping grade A+ Installed easily! Installation difficulty (not difficult)
Installed in 15 minutes, did not even break a sweat.
Did NOT have to remove the spare tire.

THANK YOU ! I saved over $300.00 doing it myself.

Easy install and product as advertised. Pulling my boat today for a test. The hardest part was getting the old bolts off. Thanks!

Hitch was as described, was delivered in good condition and in a timely fashion. etrailer.com called me with a question about my online order and they were very polite and professional. After researching several other sites I settled on etrailer.com as they had the best selection, prices and free delivery. My hitch is now installed on my truck and I am very pleased with the results. Overall this has been an excellent experience. Note that this was to replace an existing GM factory installed cl. III hitch that was disintegrating due to rust. The Curt hitch is a much heavier duty hitch than the factory original and I expect it will last much longer.

I was happy with the hitch but traded the truck in July and had to let hitch go with it.

It’s been one year and my trailer is still connected . That is a very good thing

Good Trailer hitch. Was easy to install.

by:

Works great. Bolted right up. I would purchase again if I need one.

by:

Very sturdy. Welds are near flawless. Very clean install and clean appearance. Third hitch purchased at e-trailer for three different vehicles. Will remain loyal to e-trailer.

I recently received a Custom Fit 2" Class III Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver for my 2012 Chevy Silverado from etrailer.com. This product is everything and more the website promised! I am very impressed with the quality of the unit and the price was very competitive. Additionally, installation was a breeze as promised. The brackets lined up perfectly with holes in the truck's frame rails and all needed hardware was supplied and worked perfectly. I have never installed a hitch before and I accomplished the task in a little under an hour start to finish! etrailer.com delivered as promised and I will surely be a returning customer. Thank you!

Product arrived quickly, the only issue was I ordered 2 plugs also and they were boxed on the inside with the hitch. The box with the plugs was open and the plugs were laying in the bottom of the hitch box. I suggest putting this box inside the arms of the hitch that way the weight of the hitch will not crush this smaller box. The plugs were fine, hitch bolted up perfect. I have bought about 3 hitches from etrailer and have nothing but good things to say.

by:

This trailer hitch installed easily on my 2013 Silverado 1500 long bed 2wd. The holes all lined up and the instructions were spot on. Kudos to Curt. I decided to get this hitch, even though it's more expensive than others with similar ratings, because it attaches to the vehicle frame with six screws instead of four. Also the cross tube is well hidden because it is above the receiver. A very nice hitch.

by:

I placed my order online, which was very easy. I received my hitch very fast, and the installation was a snap. With air tools, i was ready to tow in about 15 minutes. If you're looking for a great hitch at a great price, etrailer is the place to shop!

Very well pleased. Trailer hitch arrived in two days ! I put it on my truck myself and it fit great. Wiring harness fit well also. Thank you for the quick service.

I had originally purchased an incorrect hitch. One phone call to your rep and the correct hitch was on the way, before I had a chance to return the incorrect one. Easy installation. Looks great on the truck.

  • Will the Curt Class III Reciever Hitch # 13031 Fit on a 2007 Chevrolet C1500 Silverado
If you have the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body style, then the Curt Class III Receiver Hitch, item # 13301, that you mentioned will fit on your vehicle. If you have the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado Classic body style the hitch you will need is the Curt Class III Square Tube Receiver Hitch, item # 13332, for your vehicle. This hitch has the same basic construction and the same weight capacities as the # 13301 hitch. In 2007 the Silverado was built in both body styles for an extended period,...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD with 2-1/2 inch Hitch Opening
For your 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500HD you would want the Curt hitch part # C15703 as it has been confirmed to fit your vehicle and has a 2-1/2 inch hitch opening like you said you were interested in. I attached a install video plus a link to a page that has all of the ball mounts we carry that would fit the hitch. You would want to first determine the amount of rise/drop you would need to tow your trailer level and then select it from the filters on the link.

  • How to Extend Trailer Safety Chains that are Too Short to Reach Loops in Hitch Receiver
If you want to just add on some sort of extension you can use Safety Chain Quick Link # C82932 which has a working load limit of 3300-lbs. This will give you about 3-inches additional length. Ideally trailer safety chains will be one continuous chain, without additional connection points or extenders. The best solution is to replace your safety chains with new ones of the appropriate rating and length, such as TowReady # TR63035 (sold as a single piece) which is 72-inches long and that...

  • Correct Curt Class III Trailer Hitch for a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500
Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13339 will fit a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 (All Models Including LT). It features a no-drill install, simply lift into placed and secure with provided hardware. I will say that this model is designed for deep step bumpers, if you just have a standard bumper the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 13301 would sit a little tighter under the bumper.

  • Adding a Ball to the Bumper and Accessing Trailer Wiring on a 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500
First, you will want to check the owners manual for the truck for the bumper towing capacity. Many bumpers are only rated for 3500 pounds but the owners manual should say. But don't confuse the truck's towing capacity with the bumper capacity. You will need to also make sure that there is an opening that goes all the way through the bumper to install a ball. Most bumpers that have this feature will have a cap over the hole that you can pry out with a flat head screwdriver. If it's stuck...

  • 7-Way Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2018 Chevy Silverado
What you'd want is the 7-way wiring kit part # HM40975 which is designed to fit the cut out at the bumper of your 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500. The round connector or your truck will plug right into this adapter and the adapter fits the cut out of your truck perfectly. Check out the install video I attached for more info as well.

  • High Capacity Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500
First, Curt hitch 15522 is going to be replaced with a new model and design so the old hitch will be obsoleted at some point. If the factory hitch is bolted on then you can install a different hitch. If it is welded on you will not be able to use a different hitch. For the most capacity then use Curt hitch # C15323. It is rated for 16,000 pounds gross trailer weight. It also has the square tube design. I have linked instructions for you. Since these ratings exceed the ability of your...

  • Does Curt Trailer Hitch for GM Trucks Include Hardware
Yes, all of the hardware is included with the # 13301 hitch. The only thing that isn't is on 2014 and newer trucks there's a light duty bumper hitch that needs to be removed and some of the washers for that need to be reinstalled after it's removed. Those washers are reused and do not come with the hitch but they're already on the truck so if yours is this new then you have them.

  • Curt Class III Trailer Hitch that Fits 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 New Body
The Curt hitch part # 13339 that you referenced is not a confirmed fit for your 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 New Body so for a similar hitch that does fit you'd want the part # 13301. The # 13339 that you referenced fits the higher payload versions of your truck that also have a deep drop bumper.

  • Is The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 13301 A Fit For A 2006 Chevrolet Silverado
While we do have a solution for you, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13301 is designed for new generation models starting in 2007. My recommendation is the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III - 2" # e98849 for your 2006 Silverado because the matte black finish tends to be more scratch resistant than the glossy finishes like that of the Curt. Included are video resources for both.

  • Which Curt Hitch for 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 Sits Higher
You're correct. When installed, the # 13322 (visible cross tube) is going to be 20" from the top of the hitch to the ground, where the # 13301 (concealed cross tube) is going to be 18-1/2" from the top of the receiver to the ground; this puts the # 13322 as likely to match the OEM hitch height a little bit closer. It likely stems from the concealed tube hitch compensating a little extra to clear the bumper. We've produced some installation videos of these hitches on similar trucks that...

  • Difference Between Curt Hitches 13322 and 13301 for 2011 Chevy Silverado
The difference between the Curt hitch part # 13322 and the # 13301 that you referenced is an aesthetic one mainly. The design of the # 13301 is that the hitch tube is welded to the bottom of the cross tube which means that from the rear of the vehicle you'd only see the hitch opening. This is what I'd go with if it was me. The # 13322 instead has the hitch opening welded to the front of the hitch tube which means the cross tube is going to be visible from the rear.
