If you want a cargo box for the top of your 2014 Jeep Cherokee, then I recommend the Thule Force XT XXL Rooftop Cargo Box - 21 cu ft # TH6359B. This box has a length of 85.43 inches internally so it will handle most fishing rods at full length. The benefit with a cargo box is the lack on limits on the number of rods as well as the ability to use it for other functions when desired. I've attached a video of this box on the same model year Jeep and have also linked the page to all of your other options for your convenience.
