Installing a Brake Controller on a 2002 GMC 6500
Question:
I cannot find the wire to attach to the controller. From what i can find online from 2003 going forward there is a blue wire in the harness located by passenger front tire but cannot find anything on a 2002. Thanks in advance

I do have a solution for you but unfortunately, I don't have information as to the location of the blue brake output signal wire on a 2002 GMC 6500. I called a very popular trailer brake controller manufacturer Tekonsha, and they were also not able to provide this information. Your best option to install a brake controller on the vehicle would be to just run a new wire part # 10-1-1 (per foot) from the brake controller to the 7-way. If the vehicle did not come with a factory 7-way then this wire would also not be present and you would need to use part # ETBC7 to install a brake controller.
