Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Rockwood 2516G with 400 lb Tongue Weight
Question:
Hi, Ive already asked a question about the Fastway E2 600 trunnion weight distribution hitch. But now I think Im at a bit of a Crossroads, since I am buying a Rockwood 2516G and have no bloody room on the a frame for a standard bracket! So I am assuming that I need to use these side mount chain brackets? Assuming that I cannot use the Fastway trunnion weight distributing hitch anymore, which chain hitch would you recommend for a 400 lb tongue weight 3500 total weight trailer? I will add a couple of photos. Get back and thanks a bunch

Looks like the front of your trailer does have quite a bit of accessories mounted at the front of it so a bolt-on frame bracket style of system is going to be the easiest for us to recommend. The Reese brackets part # RP58305 would be a great solution for this with a Reese weight distribution system part # RP66540 would be a fantastic option.
This kit has a tongue weight range of 200-600 lb which would work great with your 400 lbs of tongue weight.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
