Lightweight, Easy to Use Weight Distribution System for an R-Pod Travel Trailer
Question:
R-pod 180 Rv is 3200 lbs loaded to roll. Tow vehicle is 2015 Ford Transit 250 with 3.5 Echo Boost-Rv dealer gave us a Reese Pro Series weight distribution with friction sway Cheap set up and weight for head alone is 50+lbs +20 lb bars x 2 Hitch is adjustable solid steel? Must be a lighter set up that my wife can actually pick up and hook up to the Pod? This Pro series is over kill for a 3200 lb RV. Regular customer- Thanks

For a weight distribution system that is better quality, easier to use, and lighter than the Pro Series Weight Distribution System you have now, I recommend using the Fastway e2 Weight Distribution. The Pro Series system weighs around 100 lbs whereas the Fastway system only weighs around 70 lbs. It also has solid spring bars which eliminates the need for link chains
In order to choose the correct setup you will need to find the total tongue weight (TTW) of your loaded ready to tow trailer in addition to any cargo stored behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle. As long as this figure does not exceed 450 lbs I recommend using part # FA92-00-0450.
