Will Trailer Idler Hub Assembly for 3,500-lb Axles AKIHUB-545-35-PG-K Fit Lippert Axles
Question:
I have a 6000 lb GTW trailer with Lippert axles. I cant find any indication that they are 3500 lb each but I am assuming they are based on gross weight rating of the trailer and the bolt pattern being 5x4-1/2. Do you believe this is the correct part for a replacement?

If the trailer does indeed have 3500 pound axles then hub # AKIHUB-545-35-K will likely fit. To be sure you can pull a hub and check the bearing numbers stamped into the sides of the bearings on the trailer currently. If the inner bearing is L68149, the outer is L44649, and the seal at the back has a 1.719 inner diameter then the hub will fit for sure.
On Lippert axles its label will always be on the back of the axle on the center of the beam. You can check there and also check for a sticker or plate at the front of the trailer somewhere that may indicate axle capacity.
