Distance From End of TruRyde #84 Spindle Stub to the Back of an Installed Hub

Question:

The back meaning the back of the idler hub where the studs are attached, not where the tapered hub first starts at the end of the stub. Hub part AKIHUB-545-35-K. I want to use these trailer spindles for a walking beam suspension but I need this measurement from stub end to the back of the hub, for getting the wheel offset correct. Thank You....... David

When installing a hub like the # AKIHUB-545-35-K on the # TRU84FR the hub is going to stop where the grease seal sits. If you look at the attached picture below, you will see the measurement marked F which is 6-1/2". This would be the stub length, which is the same as the distance from the end to the back of the hub. If you are talking about the other end, the distance would be the overall spindle length of 11-1/4" minus F, which would be 4-3/4".

I drove out to the warehouse tonight to take some measurements to find the distance from the end of the spindle stub to the hub flange. Although I wasn't able to put the pre-greased hub # AKIHUB-545-35-K onto the spindle # TRU84FR, the measurements of the hub and spindle together hold the answer. The distance from the back of the hub to the hub flange is 2". The distance from the back of the hub to the raised portion attached to the flange where the stud hole is located measures is 1.75". The stud head sticks up .125" so the distance from the back of the hub to the top of the stud is 1.625". The flange width is .4375" and the distance from the front of the hub to the flange is 1.625". Taking this information and combining it with the spindle dimensions, the distance from the end of the stud is 8.125" when measuring to the top of the stud, 8.25" when measuring to the top of the raised piece where the stud hole is located, and 8.50" when measuring to the hub flange itself. I have attached an additional diagram with these measurements for your reference.
