Recommended Trailer Hitch for Carrying Bikes with a 2018 Honda CR-V

Hello, I am looking to carry bikes on the back of my 2018 CRV with my Thule rack. Nothing else, no towing. Can I use this style of hitch on the CRV?

To carry your Thule bike rack with your 2018 Honda CR-V I recommend using the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76128.
This is a Class III trailer hitch with a 2" receiver opening. The 2" receiver will allow you to carry a wide range of hitch mount accessories compared to a 1-1/4" hitch receiver.
Although you should be good to go, if you check out the installation video that I linked you can see at the 2:49 minute mark that there is 4" of clearance from the hitch pin hole to the rear edge of the 2018 CR-V. If your Thule bike rack has a folding feature you will need to make sure that you have the clearance to fold it up.
