Wiring a 7-Way Round Pin Trailer Plug on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma

Question:

I am interested in the Tekonsha P3 Brake Controller for my 2009 Tacoma without tow package. I need to install a 7 way round connector to my 4 way flat connector after market. I do not see a universal kit like the ETBC7 for 7 way rv. Do you have a parts list for what I will need such as circuit breakers and wiring?

I've included two pictures, one of a 7-way "Blade" connector, and a 7-way "Round" or "Round Pin" connector.

If you have a plug that is compatible with the blades, which will have flat openings in the trailer side plug, then part # ETBC7 is all you need.

If you instead have the round pins, you'll actually be able to use the exact same items in part # ETBC7, and you'll just need to add a 7-way round pin adapter like part # HM47570 to complete the kit. This has the added benefit of letting your vehicle be compatible with 4-way, 7-way flat and 7-way round pin plugs, which is useful if you change trailers often.

In either case, both setups will be compatible with the P3 Trailer Brake Controller, part # 90195. I've included a video of the P3 being installed on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma so you can get an idea of how the final part of the installation will go.
