Adding a 12V Power Line to a 2015 Honda Odyssey for Battery or Refrigerator on Trailer

Question:

Hi, Is the Honda Odyssey 2015 capable of using a wire that can also power accessories like chargin the battery and/or running the refrigerator? Also, is there an option that does not need to go through the door? Is there something that comes out the bottom?

Yes, there is a way that you can add a line on your 2015 Honda Odyssey that is dedicated to charging a battery or running a refrigerator on your trailer.

What you will want to start with is the Tekonsha T-One # 118521. I have attached a video of this being installed on a 2015 Odyssey that you can reference for the install. Since most people with cars or minivans don't typical tow often, they prefer to just keep the 4-Way connector inside the vehicle and just pull it out when they tow a trailer. You should have a grommet in the trunk that you can route the 4-Way through so that you can install it under your Odyssey.

The other part that you will need is our Universal Wiring Kit # ETBC7. This will allow you to run a 12V Power supply to the 7-Way and also allow you to install a brake controller to control the brakes on a trailer if you ever need that function.

I have attached an installation video for you to reference for this as well. In the video you will note that the 2014 Odyssey had the 4-Way connector mounted inside the trunk. You can simply follow exactly what our installer does for your application.

Even though you may not have an immediate need for a brake controller, like the popular Prodigy P2 # 90885, I highly recommend going ahead and routing the wire just like what is done in the video for a brake controller. If you should ever need to install one it would prevent you from having to get back under the vehicle and routing wires.

I have attached a helpful article for you to check out as well.
