Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2017 Chevy Bolt

Question:

I am looking for a trailer wiring kit for my 2017 Chevy Bolt. You have two kits that say they are compatible, C59496 and C59236. I cant figure out why I would want one over the other? In addition, one challenge with the Chevy Bolt is that the taillights are actually in the the trunk lid itself, so it will be a challenge to locate the wires for splicing into! If you have any advice on that, please let me know. Thanks!

The wiring harnesses are basically the similar harness from different manufacturers. I personally recommend the 4 Pole Trailer Connector (Includes Install Kit) # C59496 because it comes with the circuit tester to help you find the wire functions prior to your trunk lid. Use the circuit tester to determine functions before using the quick splice connectors on the wires.
