Thank you for your purchase of Curt 4-Pole Wiring Harness Kit # C56331 for your 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan.
This is a powered-type harness that requires a 12V power connection to your Grand Caravan's positive battery terminal in order to function. This is made using the included black power wire and fuse holder with fuse. The linked instructions, installation video and help article will let you confirm your installation is correct.
You can troubleshoot the installation by checking the following things: 1) make sure the short white ground wire with ring terminal is tightly attached to a clean bare metal surface for a solid ground connection; 2) check that the black power wire and fuse holder/fuse are properly installed to the battery positive terminal on one end and to the short black pigtail lead on the converter box on the other end; 3) make sure the fuse is fully inserted and has not blown for any reason; 4) ensure the tail light connectors are fully seated together with the plugs on the harness.
If you have a circuit tester like # PTW2993 you can test the wires from the car that lead into the box to ensure the signals are present and also to check the output on the 4-pole connector. This also allows you to confirm that the necessary 12V power from the battery is reaching the converter box.
