Does SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System Work With 2017 Chevy Spark?

Question:

Stay-n-Play supplemental brake system Wiring: turn signal/brake on same wire. How can the system tell that the brake is applied and not the turn signal. seems the system would get confused and activate every time the turn signal and brake comes on. I need a supplemental system for a chevy spark, but need to make sure it will work on combined turn.brake. Or do I have to install a separate brake wire.

Your 2017 Chevrolet Spark actually has separate, and not combined, turn signal lighting so there would not be any confusion in regards to the turn signals also being used. The SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # SM99251 works with dual activation signals, so an inertia sensor must register deceleration and the RV's brake light must come on for it to work.

Additionally, Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751480 is required to use this braking system on your Spark, as it taps into your Spark's brake light switch to ensure the system is working properly. I've added links to a video review of the Stay-IN-Play, as well as a link to a video of this braking system being installed on a '17 Spark.
