Fifth Wheel Hitch and Sidewinder Recommendation for 2018 Ram 2500 With Rail Kit

Have 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 with fifth wheel prep pulling 14k fifth wheel with short bed looking for auto slide but need something I can take out myself need truck when not towing you recommended demo hijacker but seems as though it is very heavy

The best solution we have then would be a stationary hitch that fits the factory rail kit of your 2018 Ram 2500 with a Sidewinder pin box instead. A Sidewinder pin box replaces the one that's on your trailer and has a pivoting arm that moves the pivot point back 22 inches so that you get the clearance of a slider hitch (plus some extra) without having to deal with the weight and sliding mechanism of a slider.
Sidewinders are pin box specific so you will first need to know what pin box you have now in order to pick out the correct one.
There should be a sticker or a stamping on the OEM pin box of the trailer that will list the pin box number that is on the trailer.
Once you figure out which pin box you have you can check the FAQ I attached that has a chart that shows the correct Sidewinder to get based on which pin box you have.
For a fixed hitch for your truck the B and W Companion part # BWRVK3600 would be your best option. This hitch fits the factory rail kit of your truck and gives you the nicest fifth wheel hitch available that also can be removed in sections to make removal/installation easier.
