Trailer Hitch Mounted Platform Rack for an Audi 2018 A5 Sportback

Hi, I am considering buying a 2018 Audi A5 Sportback. I am an avid cyclist and want to be able to use a tray type rack. I currently own a Thule T2 XT tray rack. Does the A5 Sportback have enough ground clearance at 4.5 inches to even consider using a hitch mount tray style rack?

The short answer is yes, but you may have issues if you are going to places with steep inclines.
If you install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # C11448 onto your 2018 Audi A5, your clearance will drop just a little to about 3-1/4 inches. This is where the bottom of your Thule T2 XTB TH9035XT will ride.
From there, your actual tray will be approximately 11-1/8 inches off of the ground, which may cut it close on steeper inclines, but completely useable on normal roads.
