What Length Trailer Was Hopkins Electronic LED Smart Level for Trailers # HM08201 Set Up For

Question:

How does this know the wheelbase and track width of the RV or trailer Im leveling? 1-1/2inch lift on a short 12ft trailer is completely different from on a 45foot pusher! A 1inch lift over 28foot might equal 1 degree, while over 14foot Might be 2 degrees?! Is there some average distance for wheel base that it is using?

The Hopkins Electronic LED Smart Level for RVs and Trailers # HM08201 is designed to give you a rough estimate of how much further you'd need to jack the trailer up or down to get it level. Each red light will indicate 1-1/2 inches that it needs to move up or down. This can also be set to 1 inch.

This was configured with the average RV length in mind so while it will work with your 45 foot long trailer you might find that the indicator lights aren't perfect in terms of the amount of inches they represent. That said, when it's level it'll still show that it's level regardless.
