Equalizer Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Trailer with 1,100 lbs Tongue Weight
Question:
Currently have a Equalizer E4 1000/10,000 that I had moved to a new trailer which now has a tongue weight of 900+ lbs which I expect to approach 1000-1100 lbs when fully loaded. Should I upgrade to the 1400 lb model instead of the 1200 lb? Would the 1400 lb model be too stiff or harder to adjust? The new trailer is 33 1/2 ft long with a dry weight of 6850# and gross weight of 9200#. Thanks

Ideally you want your loaded tongue weight to fall right in the middle of the tongue weight range for the weight distribution system.
The 1,200 lb tongue weight Equalizer system part # EQ37120ET that you referenced has a range of 800- 1,200 lbs so you'd be higher than ideal if your tongue weight is 1,100 lbs.
The part # EQ37140ET would be better if that's the case as it has a range of 1,000 lbs to 1,400 lbs tongue weight.
