Base Rails Needed for 2004 Chevy Silverado 2500 with Brackets Already Installed

Question:

I recently bought a truck that previously had a rail kit installed. Id like to find a kit thatll use the same holes that were previously drilled in the bed. Is there anyway to find mounting hole dimensions on various rail kits or are they all generally the same? My hitch is a Curt 16k slider.

There can be differences in base rail installation bolt patterns between manufacturers so it is important to make sure that you get some that are compatible.

From the dimensions that you gave in your picture it looks like the previous owner had a Curt base rail kit installed. I went down to our Customer Service area and measured the base rails that we have and they had the exact same mounting bolt pattern that you referenced.

If you did not already have the brackets installed on your 2004 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 then I would recommend going with the Custom Installation Kit # C16418-204, but since you already have the brackets installed it would be more cost-effective to get the Universal Kit # C16200 just for the base rails.

I linked an installation video for the Custom Kit on a 2005 Silverado that you can use as a reference.
