Recommended Replacement Tires and Wheels for 2015 Car Mate Trailer
Question:
Any information on how much weight the pipe holder is rated to hold? Am looking at new tires and rims. Running a 2015 6X14 single axle Car Mate. Currently have a flat on the driver side due to a nail I picked up yesterday. This trailer is used for business purposes and is towed mostly local. The current tires are bias 205 75 15. The outside of the tires have excessive wear. The trailer is right at GVWR so I am looking for a durable tire in bias on a white spoke wheel. 6 ply is what the trailer OEM tire was installed with. Considering going to an 8 ply and would like some feedback. Thanks

For your replacement tires, I recommend the Westlake ST205/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire w/ 15" Silver Mod Wheel - 5 on 4-1/2 - Load Range D # LHAW121. This is a 8 ply rated tire with a max load of 2150 lbs at 65 psi. It has a max speed rating of 75 mph. This combination comes with a limited warranty of 5-Year on the tire and 1-Year on the wheel.
The Brophy Horizontal Pipe Holder for E-Track - Zinc Plated Steel - 6" Inner Diameter # EHR6 does not have a weight rating. It is noted that multiple pipe holders may be necessary to secure extra-long equipment, and this would also be the case for heavily weighted pipe. The mounting method of the E-track itself will also affect the weight it can hold.
