When installing a brake controller such as the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90195 on your 1999 GMC Yukon you will want to run the power wire (black) from the brake controller to the battery not the fuse box. You will also want to use a 20 amp circuit breaker like part # PK54220PL in between the controller and battery. Place the circuit breaker 6" from the battery and run the remaining wire to the brake controller.
You will also need both 4 and 7-way trailer connectors if you do not already have a 7-way trailer connector and for this I recommend using both the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C55319 and the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller part # ETBC7. The universal brake controller installation kit will allow you to run the electric brake output signal from the trailer connector into the cab of your vehicle.
I have attached a brake controller installation video on a similar vehicle for you in addition to a wiring diagram.
