Can Double Lip Seal Replace a Single Lip Seal
Question:
I have a 2007 Triton trailer Triton ATV 168 equipped with Reliable axle components. The hub/rotor assembly dust cap has grease fittings bearing buddies for putting grease externally into the hub. The replacement hub/rotor DBCR-701-A came with a single lip grease seal and a dust cap without the bearing buddy. According to the Reliable manual the grease seal part is SL-150-1 or Transcom 15192TB. The size is 1.5 id x 1.987 od. Can I use the double lip 15192TB instead of the single lip? I would prefer using the best seal I can and I think the double lip seals are superior and come with the metal for a more secure grip. I prefer using the best grease seal possible even though this is not a boat trailer. So, can I use the double lip grease seal instead of the single lip? Your advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can definitely use a double lip in place a single lip seal. The 10-60 seal, # RG06-020, that comes in the kit is the same as the Transcom brand 15192TB that you referenced.
A double lip seal will basically just be a better seal than a single lip.
