Are Trailer Axles Directional, or Can Either Side Face Forward

Question:

is there any difference in axles with electeric brakes to straight axles ? difference between left and right

An axle without idler hubs would not have a left or right side assigned to it. It could basically be ran either direction.

If it has brake assemblies installed though then it would need to face the right direction. Otherwise you'd have to swap the assemblies since the assemblies are directional.

You'll notice on trailer axles too that there is a bow to them that faces down. This is so that when the weight of the trailer is put on them the flex in the axle is offset which allows the camber for the tires to be right.
