Will the 2005 Honda Elements Frame Need to Modified to Install the Roadmaster MX Base Plates

Question:

Im considering putting a Roadmaster #1541-5 Baseplate on my 2005 Honda Element. My question is do I have to alter/cut any part of the frame or factory metal to make the install. I realize I have to trim part of the plastic grill fascia, but would like to not have to tamper with the metal framework, etc. of the car. Also, is there an adapter kit available that would allow me to use a Blue Ox towbar with this Roadmaster baseplate?

The Roadmaster MX Base Plates # 1541-5 that are confirmed to fit your 2005 Honda Element does not require you to cut or alter any of the steel frame of your vehicle. The base plates will bolt to the vehicle using existing holes.

The only modification will be needed will be on the bumper fascia to allow the tow arms to connect to the base plates.

For your Blue Ox tow bar, I recommend the Blue Ox Tow Bar to Roadmaster EZ5, MS, and MX Base Plate Adapter Brackets, # BX88185. This adapter kit will allow you to connect your Blue Ox tow bar to the Roadmaster MX base plates. The brackets will replace the lug style brackets on the Blue Ox tow bar.

Awaiting delivery of complete tow package for my 2005 Honda element. Is there a detailed video for the installation of the 1541-5 Roadmaster base plate installation on the Element?

@Peter Unfortunately we don't have an install video, I wish we did. What I can do is link you to the installation instructions which you can check out below:
