Can this be used with a weight distribution hitch on my 2017 ram 1500 4x4

Yes, the Brophy Hitch Extender with Step for 2" Trailer Hitches # ST18 is rated for use with a Weight Distribution (WD) system.

The maximum Gross Trailer Weight (GTW) is 3,500 lbs and the maximum Tongue Weight (TW) is 350 lbs, but when you are using a WD system the GTW is bumped up to 7,000 lbs and the TW increases to 700 lbs.

You will want to be sure to stay within the weight limits of your trailer hitch receiver and tow vehicle as well. Also keep in mind that this extender will reduce the capacity of your hitch receiver by one third.
