How to Pick Out Ball Mount for 2010 Subaru Forester Towing Rental Trailer

Trying to figure out the correct ball mount on 2010 forester with draw-tite 75650 hitch, to use with common Uhaul trailers. Cant seem to quite figure out correct rise and length.... suggestions?

You'll have to know the distance from the top of your hitch opening to the ground and then from the bottom of your trailer coupler down to the ground when sitting level to determine which ball mount you'd need.

When we installed the Draw Tite part # 75650 on a similar Subaru Forester the hitch opening to the ground measured 14 inches. That's a pretty common hitch height.
Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4 inch drop. It also includes a 1-7/8 inch ball, 2 inch ball, hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag.
