Troubleshooting N.C on Tekonsha Prodigy Brake Controller and Constant Power to Blue Wire
Question:
When I hook up the unit and turn dial down, instead of giving me the oo it keeps saying n.c should the 7 prong blue terminal have constant power to it with truck on?

It sounds like there may be an issue with the brake output circuit (blue wire) between the brake controller and 7-way connector. The blue wire should only be receiving power when the brake pedal is pressed or with the manual override applied on the controller. The "N.C" you are seeing on the Prodigy # 90885 controller can also be an indication of this particular issue.
I first recommend going into your vehicle and testing the brake controller itself to make sure it is not causing the problem. You will need to sever the blue wire a few inches from the back of the controller. Then use a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the end of the blue wire coming from the controller. This wire should only have power when you apply the manual override. If it shows power when you are not doing anything, then there is something wrong with the controller and it likely needs to be replaced.
If it tests like it should, then go ahead and reconnect the blue wire. I then recommend going outside the vehicle and looking at the trailer connector on the vehicle side. Check for any dirt or corrosion that might be preventing a secure connection with the trailer. Simply clean out as needed. You can also test the brake output pin to see if it only shows power with the manual override on the controller activated. Again, if it shows power at any other time, there is a short somewhere between the connector and brake controller that you will simply need to track down. You can run up the wiring to check for any damaged, exposed or cut wires and fix as needed.
If you are still unable to locate and resolve the issue, please let me know and I will be happy to look into this further. I have also attached a troubleshooting article that you might find helpful.
