Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2017 Kia Sportage
Question:
Hi, Im a bit confused. One companys harness has one connector, another harness has 2 connectors. What should I get, and how much will be added like a fused feed from the dash to make it work?

The available 4-Way trailer wiring harnesses that are confirmed to fit your 2017 Kia Sportage will all essentially install in the same manner. When installing a harness like the Tekonsha T-One # 118698, you will simply plug the mentioned connectors to existing ports that are located behind the driver side tail light and under the vehicle on the driver side.
After the T-connector is installed, you will then need to run the hot lead up to the vehicle's battery and connect it to the positive terminal using the included fuse holder. The kit does include the needed length of wire to make this connection. I recommend this particular harness because of Tekonsha's great reputation and the reliability of their electrical and wiring products. I have attached an article that will help explain this process.
I have also included the written installation instructions for this harness that you can take a look at.
