Will a Cushioned Pin Box and Cushioned 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Work Well Together
Question:
Have a 3500 dodge dually. We purchased a new Montana 41ft 16800lb loaded. Will the Q20 work well with the morride factory installed pinbox? Any problems with the 2 interacting or causing damage to either. Hoping the combo will be amazing for our fulltiming dream. Respectually awaiting to here your expert and much needed advice.

Since both the Mor/Ryde pin box and the Curt Q20 5th wheel trailer hitch # C16130 are cushioned the two could work against each other and create a rougher ride. Going with the cushioned pin box or a cushioned hitch by itself will help to reduce chucking and vertical movement. The benefit of having a cushioned hitch though is that it is going to reduce chucking and vertical movement for any 5th wheel trailer you tow. If you change the pin box it only benefits the trailer it is installed on.
You can improve the ride even more by adding suspension enhancement to the trailer. I have included a link to the suspension enhancement products we have for trailers.
