Recommended Wiring Harness for 2017 Dodge Durango without Factory Tow Package

I have a Dodge Durango 2017, no tow package. Which trailer wiring system do I need if Im going to purchase your class 3 trailer 2 inch Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver?

For your 2017 Dodge Durango that does not have the factory tow package, I recommend the Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118617 to install a 4-Way connector or the Tekonsha # TK22113 to install a 7-Way. Which harness you choose will simply depend on what type of trailer you will be towing and the functions you will need. A 4-Way will be used just to activate the trailer's basic signal lights while a 7-Way will be needed if you plan on towing a trailer with electric brakes.
Both of these harnesses are custom-fit for your vehicle and will plug directly into ports that are located behind the driver and passenger side tail lights. I have attached the installation details for you to review.
The Curt Class III Round Tube Receiver Hitch # C13182 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your Dodge Durango and will provide a 2 inch receiver opening with a 5,000 pound towing capacity. I have attached an installation video on your exact vehicle that you can use for reference.
