Does Tongue Weight Figure of High Low Adapter Matter When Flat Towing Vehicle

Question:

I need a hitch 6inch -down receiver to tow my HHR behind a new class A motorhome we are buying. Im a little confused as to tongue weight. The product Im looking at on your website is: Roadmaster High-Low Adapter for Tow Bars - 2inch Hitches - 6inch Rise/Drop - 6K GTW, 200 lbs TW Item # RM-076 The 200 lbs TW figure is the one that Im not sure about. I read somewhere that the TW should be between 9-15 of the weight of the towed vehicle. Is that correct? If so, then this one would not be sufficient. Thanks.

Since you are flat towing a vehicle you basically don't have any tongue weight at all since the vehicle has two axles spaced far apart unlike a trailer.

The high low adapter part # RM-076 would work well for you since you need a 6 inch drop.
