How Much Does the Roadmaster RM-077-8 and RM-048-8 Weigh?
Question:
What is the weight of the RM-077-8 receiver adapter ? Have seen one which weighs 30 pounds....seems crazy and too heavy for older users. Will use it on my UTV, not a truck. Thank you for the accurate drawing of critical dimensions to avoid returns. Interested in accurate dimensions of the RM-048-08 Roadmaster hitch adapter as well. One expert response says that the pin hole-to-pin hole distance is 10-3/4 inches and another 9-7/8-inches ??!! Which is it ? Would be nice if you would simply display a schematic for each product of this type with dimensions. Youve done that for the RM-077-8 adapter. Geometry is important !! Weight too ! Thank you !!

As the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver # RM-077-8 has a solid shank for added capacity, it does weight right at 28 pounds.
I had the Roadmaster High-Low Adapter # RM-048-8 measured as well. From center of one pin hole to the center of the other is actually 10 1/2 inches, which I am having added to the product page. This is also a little lighter than the # RM-077-8 at 23 pounds.
It should also be noted, however, that this is not designed to be used for towing a trailer. Both of these are designed to be used when flat towing a vehicle behind an RV. Both will also reduce your tongue weight by 50% when used.
