Troubleshooting a Prodigy RF Brake Controller that Wont Show Connected to Trailer
Question:
Hi I cannot get the Prodigy RF TK94FR to give me the c. reading after running through the steps exactly 20 times No joke. Everything is perfect till I get to connect the trailer to the brake module and I do not receive a c. The unit worked perfectly with our previous camper, we purchased a brand new tag along and it will not give me the c. Have not been able to take it on a trip as Im very uncomfortable taking it out on the road without brakes. When you speak with the dealer they want to install their own brake of course more coin out of my pocket Please help.

I would start by checking the 12 volt pin on all of the 7-way connectors. The Prodigy RF # TK94FR uses the 12 volt pin to operate and then everything else is wireless so this is the place to start.
Make sure the pins are clean and free of any corrosion.
It could be that the RF is not pairing in the first place. If this is the case some steps to try are to put a piece of tape covering the pin in the 5 O'clock position where the trailer connects to the RF and then try pairing again. If this doesn't work you may need an adapter, # C57003, to put more load on the system.
The final way to try to get the unit to pair is to pair with a different vehicle and then move the remote to the vehicle you wish to tow with.
If none of these steps solve your issue let me know.
