Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2013 Acura RDX to use with Bike Rack
Question:
ACURA RDX 2013 Bike Rack Does the muffler have to be dropped to attach this hitch? Is this your best recommendation for my vehicle? 75784

The Draw-Tite Class III Max Frame Receiver Hitch # 75784 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2013 Acura RDX and is exactly the hitch I recommend for your vehicle. Unlike the Curt trailer hitch that is also custom-fit for your vehicle, the Draw-Tite model does not require you to use stabilizing straps to support non-trailer loads like bike racks and cargo carriers.
When installing the trailer hitch, you may need to pull the fascia down slightly in order to slide the hitch into position. No other alterations to the vehicle will need to be made. I have attached an installation video on the 2014 RDX for you to check out. The process will be the same on your 2013 model year.
If you don't yet have a bike rack I highly recommend the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Rack # KU74FR. This is an excellent platform-style carrier that uses ratcheting hooks to secure the bikes by their wheels without any frame contact. It also features a convenient foot pedal that allows you to easily tilt the rack back (with the bikes still loaded) for rear cargo access.
I have included a video demonstration on this product for you to check out.
