Do I Still Need to Use the Stabilizer Straps on my Curt Hitch When Carrying a Bike Rack

Question:

What is the stabilizer strap you talk about that the Curt hitch requires and the Draw Tite doesnt. Thanks

Stabilizer straps are no longer required when using a Curt hitch like the # C13130; this was an older requirement for some Curt hitches when using a bike rack only, but they have since determined that it is not required or recommended any longer. You could also use the Draw- Tite # 75784, which the main difference is that the receiver is about 1-1/2" shorter, so it's not as ideal for bike racks since the clearance from the vehicle will be minimal.

I've linked an installation video of the Draw-Tite hitch you were looking at for you to check out as well; the Curt hitch will install mostly the same.
