Recommended 7-Way To 7-Way Adapter For Towing Trailer With LED Lights
Question:
i have a 2017 Range Rover Sport and am towing a 2017 Airstream. because of the LED lights, the RR wont recognize the trailer trailer icon does not appear on dash when plugged in. consequently, none of the RR features Advanced Tow Assist, Anti-sway, etc wont work. when convention lights are plugged into the 4 Flat connector, it recognizes the trailer. do your 7-way to 7-way connectors solve this problem?

For your 2017 Range Rover Sport, I recommend the Trailer Connector Adapter w/ Lamp-Out Sensor Bypass - 7-Way RV to 7-Way RV - Vehicle End # 20142. This has load resistors integrated into the adapter so that there is a draw seen by your vehicle similar to the Incandescent light draw to make the LED lights and vehicle function correctly. This adapter should make your Range Rover Sport see the trailer correctly and allow you the features you mentioned for towing safely. The 7-Way Trailer Adapter for VW, Audi, and Porsche Towing Trailers with LED Lights # C57003 will work in a similar way, but is a little more obtrusive adapter.
