Availability of Longer Hitch Extension for Use with Helping Back Trailer Down Ramp

Question:

Hello, I have a sailboat and trailer with a combined weight of about 2200 lbs. Normally, I use the marinas launch and retrieval service to pull the boat out of the water, but occasionally, I use my 2014 Mazda 3 S Touring with an EcoHitch 2inch trailer hitch to launch and retrieve if the service is unavailable. I pull the boat out of the water up a short ramp and then take it to my parking spot that is about 40 yards away. Thats it. No highways, no big hills. A couple extra feet would really help with this operation at times when the water level makes the ramp less steep. Can you recommend a product to give me a little extension without modifying my trailer? Thanks.

The longest extension we have for a 2 inch hitch is the Curt part # C45796 which is 18 inches long. This could work for you but you need to keep in mind that using an extender like this cuts the capacity of the hitch it is installed in by 50 percent.
