Does Valterra Solar Powered Rope Light Need to be Removed when Retracting Awning

Do these lights need removed every time you retract awning? Do you offer lighting that can be left on the reel during storage?

The Valterra Solar Powered Rope Light w/ Dual Utility Track for RV Awnings # A30-0900 referenced in your question will need to be removed when retracting the awning for storage. The LED rope light will fit into the included dual track, which slides into the awning utility slot. I have attached a video demonstration on this product for you to check out.

We do not currently have awning rope lighting available that can remain in place during storage.

The awning light strips we carry are designed to fit into slots that are on the fabric rollers of the awning. But we do have awnings that attach to the RV with adhesive like with the part #LC24PJ.

You would not be able to use just the Slip Ring #LC330961 to retrofit your current idler head to LEDs, you would need to use the Solera Power Awning Idler Head w/ LED Upgrade - Black #LC334785.
