Skid Wheel Recommendation for a 2017 Coachmen Apex 215RBK

As I stated in the subject line, I have a 2017 Coachmen Apex trailer Model 215RBK which scrapes when I back it up my drive. The fist half of the drive is rater steep and I will scrape for abot 6-8foot before the trailer wheels are on the drive and left the back of the trailer. I have already bent the triangular skids which are welded to the frame. Would these skid wheels work in place of the factory skids? And if so, would the the 4inch or 6inch work better?

I did a little research on your 2017 Coachmen Apex trailer Model 215RBK and found that it is 25 feet, 4 inches long overall so skid wheels # UF48-979011 are a great option for you. These particular skid wheels are a weld-on application so installation should be performed by a professional welder.

I would stay with the 4 inch diameter wheels in order to keep the reduction to ground clearance at a minimum. I have linked a video review of these skids wheels for you.

It Is not at all recommended to use two adapters with eachother, so your best option would be to use the Roadmaster Dual Hitch Receiver Adapter #RM-077-6 which features a 6" rise or drop which should give you plenty more clearance, we do…
