Repair Kit for Titan Zinc-Plated Coupler # T2343400183
Question:
Hello: I have a trailer with a Titan 3inch coupler with a hand wheel tightener stamped 23434 and A Frame 23486 I assume it is a T2343400183 coupler assembly but it is welded on. The Hand Wheel tightener is bent and I want to replace with a lever lock assembly so I can have a visual confirmation that the coupler is tight. Can I just replace the tightener with the lever lock Titan tightener from T4845000? Thanks

I spoke with my contact at Titan, and he said that your Zinc-Plated Coupler # T2343400183 with the handwheel and the Titan Leverlock Coupler # T4845000 are manufactured differently, so the mechanisms are not interchangeable. You will not be able to use the leverlock mechanism to replace the handwheel assembly on your coupler.
We do have the Titan Latch Repair Kit # T4045400 that will allow you to repair the handwheel latching mechanism on your existing unit. The kit includes the lock ring, latch bolt, lock plate, ball latch, compression spring, handwheel lock, handwheel, hex bolt and lock nut.
